No problem, the product was clean. Purchased and like new. I had a choice to lease or purchase my own modem for cable tv. I decided to purchase, went on Amazon and found the same modem(refurbished) for half the retail price.
Anyway after 3 hours and several phone calls, we finally got the new modem online and it works great. I purchased this product because I wanted to save the redundant $5/month rental fee for the same itentical item furnished by my cable company/ISP. After 6 months, my new modem will have paid for itself - mission accomplished. (I wish my cable company/ISP worked as well). It took quite a bit of time on the phone for me to set up my newly purchased moden with my cable company. (Could that have been intentional on their part.).
This one works better than the same exact model of it that I had from Comcast.
No more lease payments. This is a reconditioned product.Comcast had LESS trouble activating this one compared to the leased unit from them.Go figure.Works great.
Called into comcast and gave them the MacID number and within minutes I was on the web. I bought it to avoid paying the lease fee. setup was incredibly easy.
